Joining a committee is a good way to meet your neighbors and to learn about the community. To be eligible to serve on committees, you must be a resident in good standing. It is expected that committee members work objectively for the benefit of East Lake Woodlands Condo VII and without consideration of personal interest or gain. The committees adhere to East Lake Woodlands Condo VII governing documents.

The Communication Committee is charged with overseeing the various forms of communication within the community. These include but are not limited to: bulletin board postings, meeting notifications, website updates, and flyers.
Committee members will assist in the posting of information, distribution of flyers, and collecting and collating information to be posted on the website.
Volunteers with computer skills or writing skills are a plus but not a necessary requirement.
Time Commitment: approximately 4-6 hours/month
The Compliance Committee has been established in accordance with Florida Statute 718.303 to assist the Board of Directors with enforcement of the association Rules and Regulations. The primary role of the volunteers is to determine if a proposed fine and/or suspension of use rights should be levied upon a matter being referred to the Compliance Committee for a hearing.
Time Commitment: 6-8 hours/year
The Social Committee is charged with proposing and overseeing various social events for East Lake Woodlands Condo VII. Having social events gives residents the opportunity to meet each other and provide a sense of community. Volunteers will be requested to assist in the planning, set-up and clean-up of several community events per year. The committee may also support special interest clubs by communicating information to residents.
Time Commitment: approximately 6-8 hours/month
The Beautification Committee is charged with assisting the board in overseeing and maintaining the quality and integrity of the East Lake Woodlands Condo VII landscaping and grounds. Volunteers will be requested to monitor conditions of the property, do occasional walk-arounds and advise the board on improvements. The Committee may get involved in planting seasonal flowers, and conducting ad-hoc projects relating to landscaping and grounds at the request of the Board of Directors. Any project that will improve our condo appearance, function and comfort environment can be considered.
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours/month
The Finance Committee is charged with the responsibility to advise the Board of Directors, in a reasonable and productive manner, on issues affecting the financial condition of the Association. Volunteers will be expected to review the financial statements each month, attend a meeting to review and make recommendations to the Board. They will also provide input during the preparation of the annual budget.
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours/month
We welcome and encourage residents who are unable to regularly attend meetings and/or wish to contribute their time or expertise to the committees or a specific committee project of limited duration to join us.
Friends of the Committee are welcome to attend the meetings. Become a Friend of a Committee by completing a volunteer form or notifying a board member or our property manager.
